Like many of those in Hawaiʻi who watched with heavy hearts the devastation that the wildfires left on Maui, the members of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Wind Ensemble felt a desire to honor those who were lost, those who survived, and those who are working to help the community.

The U of A Bands will kick off the fall 2023 concert season at 7:30 p.m. today, Oct. 5, with Jeffrey Summers and Capt. Brandon Hults conducting in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.

SOMERS — The fall semester concert season continues at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with the UW-Parkside Wind Ensemble and Community Band, performing a joint concert starting at 7 p.m. Thursday,

Consisting of approximately 45 members, the Wind Ensemble played the piece during a rehearsal in September.

A number of other performances are planned during the school year.
