Warrant out for Vt. man after skipping arraignment CREATAS

GREENFIELD A Vermont man arrested by Northfield police following a chase last week did not appear for his court date, and now has a warrant out for his arrest.
Mark K. Anderson, a 40-year-old man from Brattleboro, Vt., was confirmed by Northfield Police Chief Robert Leighton as the man arrested following a multi-hour vehicle and foot chase Sunday, Feb. 21, that arose from a traffic stop for a defective muffler.
Anderson was arrested on numerous charges, including defective vehicle equipment, unlicensed operation of a vehicle, speeding, a stop sign violation, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for an officer and an open container violation, after fleeing from officers following the traffic stop on Warwick Road. According to Leighton, once Anderson crashed his vehicle at 26 Main St., he fled on foot.

BENNINGTON â The woman says she still has nightmares about that night, three Decembers ago, when she thought her boyfriend would kill her. She told police he repeatedly squeezed her neck, until she almost blacked out. At one point, he apparently tried to strangle her in the bathroom, using a shower curtain rod.
