A woman’s fatal injuries aboard a private jet occurred when it violently bucked up and down as pilots responded to alerts about the flight stabilizing trim system.

The National Transportation Safety Board has released their preliminary report of the incident where a woman died after a business jet experienced an issue causing the plane to pitch up and down abruptly.

Despite early statements, severe turbulence did not affect a flight during which a former White House official died earlier this month, officials said.

Investigators said Friday that a passenger on a business jet was fatally injured in early March when the aircraft violently bucked up and down after pilots disconnected a system used to stabilize the plane.
