Peurakanta ja peuran metsästys on puhuttanut vilkkaasti julkista sanaa jahtikauden kynnyksellä. Peuroja ja pyyntilupia on liikaa tai liian vähän. Susikanta lisääntyy peurakannan myötä, samoin liikenne- ja luontovahingot. Peura tai pienempi kauris on liian kaunis metsästyksen kohde. Hirvi on jäänyt pienemmälle huomiolle.

In Niedersachsen sind in diesem Jahr bereits 33 tote Wölfe gefunden worden – das sind schon jetzt mehr als im gesamten Vorjahr. Die meisten Tiere verendeten bei Verkehrsunfällen. Doch für den Anstieg der Todesfälle gibt es eine einfache Erklärung.

Bis Anfang August sind in Niedersachsen mehr tote Wölfe entdeckt worden als im gesamten Vorjahr. 33 Funde habe es gegeben, sagte ein Sprecher des Niedersächsischen Umweltministeriums.
