Business mogul Anand Mahindra has posted a picture featuring Anandi Gopal Joshi from India, Keiko Okami from Japan, and Sabat Islambouli from Syria, who were the first licensed doctors in their respective countries. All three were educated at the Womens Medical College in Pennsylvania and the photo dates back to 1885. Mahindra highlighted Anandi Gopal Joshi s remarkable journey, marrying at 9, becoming a mother at 14, and earning a degree in Western medicine in 1886 at the age of 19.
