DC Comics is reportedly eyeing the NFT market

Reports from last week indicate that comics publisher DC Comics is weighing whether to undertake a foray into the marketplace for non-fungible tokens.
According to a report from Gizmodo s i09, the news came as part of a letter issued last week by DC Comics legal affairs office. DC is exploring opportunities to enter the market for the distribution and sale of original DC digital art with NFTs including both new art created specifically for the NFT market, as well as original digital art rendered for DC s comic book publications, the letter notes.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League known to fans as the mythical “Snyder Cut” hits HBO Max on March 18th, and Warner Bros. is celebrating the at-home blockbuster relaunch in a unique way: with customized, themed $130 Snyder Cut meal boxes.
Described as “a first-of-its-kind, immersive, at-home dining experience” for customers in the US and the UK, Warner Bros. is teaming up with Wonderland Restaurants (a self-described “creative & innovation studio for the food and beverage industry”) to create the kits. Wonderland Restaurants is also currently working on Park Row, an upcoming high-end DC Comics-themed restaurant in London that was announced in early 2020.

Although Wonder Woman first appeared in DC comics in 1941, I didn t discover her until 1975, the same time the Lynda Carter television series came on. After surviving elementary school a foot taller than every other kid and being teased mercilessly, leaving middle school a whopping 5 foot 10 inches (the same height as Carter and Gal Gadot), the only brunette among 14 blonde cousins, imagine my joy at discovering a female superhero who looked more like me than all those Barbies on the shelf? One who held her own alongside Batman and Superman and the entire Justice League?
