Tesla admits to errors in severance for some laid-off workers. CEO Elon Musk apologised and promised corrections.

The Tesla CEO told workers in an email that the mistakes were "being corrected immediately."

Tesla Layoffs: It said the layoffs would start on July 15 and that they were due to "economic" reasons. Tesla has a total of 2,032 employees across the two impacted sites in Buffalo, meaning that the cuts will affect about 14% of its workers there.

Tesla is offering a severance package that includes two months of pay and covers the cost of COBRA health insurance for the same period for affected workers, Business Insider reported

The layoffs come after Tesla announced to lay off 10% of its global workforce.
