The state of Utah on Monday hit a milestone of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program with the distribution of $100 million since March 2021 in assistance to help renters who are unable to pay their rent and utilities due to circumstances related to the pandemic.\n

The state will continue paying landlords for application assistance but stop funding advocacy groups.
