On the roof-top playground of The Slayte, it really did feel like the sky’s the limit during the second annual Boost breakfast that Linebox Studio COO Melissa Reeves hosted yesterday for dozens of women business leaders and entrepreneurs.

A delicious fundraiser brought Ottawa’s culinary community together to raise awareness and money for YouTurn Youth Support Services.

“I wanted to carve my own path,” said Leanne Moussa, who earned a degree in political science at the University of Alberta. “I wasn’t really interested in going into business ... But, look at this?”

A new business networking event organized for women lived up to its name by giving this mornings attendees just the lift they needed to get on with their day feeling energized, motivated and ready to take on the world.
