Letters Formation workshop in Katara

Many celebrations are scheduled throughout the Silver State in the month of September. These Nevada 150 events celebrate all things Nevada and help bring awareness to the 150th Anniversary of Statehood. The following events are held Sept. 15 through 30.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this time every year touches the heart of one of the teachers at CHS: Art teacher Mike Malley, whose mother is a breast cancer survivor, due to early detection, has decided to take breast cancer awareness to a new level by putting on a fundraising event Oct. 18 at the Trimmer Barn from 5 to 8 p.m.

Don’t miss out the chance to join a captivating musical journey led by five top DJs. These DJs will represent a distinct decade of hip-hop’s evolution. Join DJ Uri, Nik, PhreshPrince, OTJF (On the Jungle Floor), and Peach Blok for an amazing musical experience.
