The National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) board raised the budget for the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) from P16.3 billion to P28.78 billion during its 10th meeting. The additional P12.4 billion budget will cover the cost of changes in the project plan that now includes mixed traffic sections from Bulacao to Talisay, South Road Properties (SRP) to Talisay, and Cebu IT Park to Talamban. Additionally, there will be an increase in the number of stations and terminals, optimization of routes, and an overall increase in the number of buses.
