Grant Store in Lewiston today as the doors of the large establishment were opened for the first time to ‘the general public. A large number of Lewiston city officials, business leaders and executives of Grant’s were on hand for the brief opening ceremonies. The store is located off East Avenue, between Pleasant Street and Lisbon Street in the Lewiston Mall Shopping Center, the third store to open there. Store Manager Robert Cameron, following the opening ceremonies, noted that the store contains about 100,000 square feet of selling space, has 35 departments, and employs 140 persons. It Includes an auto center, a complete garden shop. and a restaurant — which can be entered either from the store or from an outside entrance.
