Our unsettled weather pattern will continue this week. This means more chances for rain & storms. Stay Weather Aware Tue. and Wed, when some storms could be strong to severe are possible.
May will start sunny and warm. By Friday, a chance for rain and thunderstorms will return to the Mid-South. For the weekend, it'll be warm with a chance for scattered showers and a few storms.
Another bright and seasonal day is headed our way. Afternoon highs will top out in the mid 70s. Some will have a splash of rain overnight into early Friday morning.
It'll be breezy today with gusts between 30-40 mph. While most of us will be dry, an impulse will swing across our northeast area and could squeeze out a shower or even a storm.
Scattered showers will stay with us today. As storms develop this afternoon and tonight, a few could be strong to severe. Damaging wind gusts is the main threat, but a tornado can't be ruled out.
