ALEXANDRIA, VA With the June 8 Democratic primary coming up in Alexandria, residents should be aware of the early voting deadline.
The primary will include races for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, House of Delegates, Alexandria mayor and Alexandria City Council. Voters in the 45th House District will vote in the primary, but there will be no primary for the 46th House District. There is no Republican primary, as the party chose nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general through a convention.

ARLINGTON, VA As the June 8 Democratic primary approaches in Arlington, the voter registration deadline is Monday, May 17.
The primary will feature races for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, House of Delegates and Arlington County Board. Voters in the 45th and 49th House Districts will vote in the primary, but there will be no primary for the 47th and 48th House Districts. The Republican Party of Virginia determined nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general through a convention.
Elizabeth R. Guzman withdrew from the Lieutenant Governor race.
The two candidates running in the democratic primaries for Attorney General are Jarrauld C. Jay Jones and incumbent Mark R. Herring.
The deadline to register to vote in the primaries is May 17, 2021.
The deadline to request absentee ballot by mail is May 28 and the deadline to vote absentee in-person is June 5.
Augusta County Details
Augusta County will be holding the Democratic primary and the Republican primary for the Virginia House of Delegates for District 24 on June 8th.
The two candidates running in the Republican primary for 24th District Delegate are incumbent Ronnie Campbell and Mark Reed.

But the Stafford GOP will use the June 8 primary to select a nominee for Aquia District supervisor, so early voting in that race also begins Friday. Republicans will choose between current Supervisor Cindy Shelton and former Supervisor Paul Milde to be the party s nominee to represent the Aquia District on the Board of Supervisors.Â
