26 (Xinhua) -- A new building of the Yinxu Museum in Anyang, central Chinas Henan Province, officially opened to the public on Monday.At present, more than 160,000 pieces of oracle bone scripts have been unearthed there, and about 4,500 characters have been discovered, of which about a third have been identified.

Archaeological explorations at Anyang have revealed the evolution of the site from a humble farming village to a thriving urban center of the Shang Dynasty.
