Investigative journalist and former Daily Mirror reporter John Pilger, who broke important stories on the Thalidomide scandal and the aftermath of Pol Pot's regime, has died at the age of 84

Mr Pilger, who spent most of his professional life in Britain working for publications such as the Daily Mirror, died yesterday in London, his heartbroken family announced.

From Palestine to Cambodia, Pilger worked extensively to expose human suffering caused by imperialist governments.
