The police said the three were found moving suspiciously along the city’s coast on February 6. They were subsequently detained and their fishing boat was seized. A case was registered and the trio was arrested.

Three Tamil Nadu residents were arrested by Colaba police for sailing from Kuwait to Mumbai in a fishing boat to escape their employer. They entered Indian shores without passport or any licence. Mumbai police’s patrolling boat intercepted the trawler near Prongs Lighthouse, around 4 nautical miles from Gateway of India, on Tuesday. The police seized the boat and towed it to Gateway of India and apprehended the three -- Enfant Vijay Vinod Anthony, 29, Nidiso Deto, 31, and Sahya Anthony Anish, 29.
