I am very thankful for the beautiful poems and photos by my poetry friend 白九. He planted lotus flowers in his backyard last summer. Everyday, he visited them, took photos, and wrote a poem. I followed him for two weeks. Here they are: twelve seven-character quatrains. I put them together and rearranged them. It reads like a love story, with a beginning and an ending, and drama. I hope you like it. With this collection, I would also like to thank those who taught me writing quatrains poems and led me to a beautiful world of Chinese metrical poems.
