Alex Hoskins was brandishing a firearm, according to the Butler County Sheriff s Office release. He was treated and released from Fort Hamilton Hospital. The sheriff s office has Hoskins in custody. Officials said they were executing a search warrant when the man was shot. Police said in the release that Hoskins believed he was under investigation, and that he bought a firearm in preparation for a confrontation with police.

Officials said they were executing a search warrant when the man was shot. Police said in the release that Hoskins believed he was under investigation, and that he bought a firearm in preparation for a confrontation with police. Police said Hoskins admitted to possessing, sending, and receiving child pornography. He was charged with felonious assault, and three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material/performance.
