Finally Friday returns to the realm of home studios and streaming intimacy this week with two seemingly different artists who are united by the blues. The Wooks are among the more traditional leaning bands commonly heard in the jamgrass universe. Quinn Sullivan is a 22-year-old phenom who's been anointed by the elder masters of blues/rock guitar.

After a joyful return to (periodic) live Finally Friday shows last week at the Eastside Bowl, our artist series resets this week to the cozy confines of home studios and remote stages with a fascinating pair of artists sharing album release performances with us on Feb. 25. The Wooks bring a light and free touch to their native Kentucky bluegrass, while Sophie Gault leads her band The Broken Things with an attention-grabbing voice and a lot to say.

The String speaks with Kalamazoo, MI jamgrass stars Greensky Bluegrass on the occasion of their eighth studio album Stress Dreams. Mandolinist Paul Hoffman and bass player Mike Devol join Craig Havighurst from home.
