An alarming study shows every hour a call is made to a Poison Control Center somewhere in the u. S. About a child thats been poisoned by laundry detergent pods. Linzie janis has the latest. Reporter they are advertised as a clever replacement for messy, heavy jugs. It cleans, brightens and removes stains. Reporter in just two years, 6,000 kids rushed to the emergency room, most after eating those detergent packets. More than 17,000 calls to poison control. We went out to see just how easy it is for kids to mistake the detergent for candy. If you saw this at home, would you try and eat it . And how about you . I tried it.
