Four Dawson County students recently won the regional level of the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition and will now advance to compete at the state level in early April.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Nicole Lecave, the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition, which has been an annual occurrence for over 20 years and is open to any Georgia public school student from K-12, is aimed at helping students develop their writing skills and recognizing them for their successes.
