Contributing Writer Taking into consideration the polling popularity of the COVID Relief Bill and the proposed infrastructure plan, the Biden administration seems to have touched the hearts and minds of Americans. About 70 percent of Americans approve of the COVID Relief Bill as three million Americans are getting vaccinated daily because of Biden’s focus on attacking COVID rather than wishing it away. Contributing Writer I read with great interest the recent stories in the local newspaper about the devastating effect of the August 10, 2020 derecho windstorm on one of my family’s favorite places to go in Marshalltown – Riverside Cemetery. The 150 mph wind on that day ripped up trees and toppled headstones in the cemetery and caused more than a million dollars in damage in a few minutes. Contributing Writer According to the publisher’s blurb on the back cover of Mary Grabar’s recent book, “Debunking Howard Zinn: Exploring the Fake History That Turned a Generation Against America,” Zinn’s book, “A People’s History of the United States,” has sold more then 2.5 million copies. Zinn’s is a left-wing book assigned in high school and college classrooms to teach students that American history is nothing more than a litany of oppression, slavery and exploitation. Zin...
