Call it the battle of the Basquiats.
After years of rising prices and intensifying demand, the market for the beloved artist is now at a fever pitch.

Two brothers locked in rivalry. A single glittering prize. It’s a classic trope as old as human history: Romulus and Remus, Caine and Abel, Liam and Noel Gallagher.
And now Max and Charlie Denison-Pender. These twentysomething middle-class lads from Wiltshire are engaged in an extraordinary clash that could set one of them on a skyward trajectory. In a thoroughly 21st-century iteration of sibling competitiveness, they are vying to orbit the moon.
Rolls-Royce has revealed a one-off Phantom in collaboration with luxury goods manufacturer Hermès.
Called “Oribe’, it was commissioned by Japanese fashion entrepreneur Yusaka Maezawa, who is a well-known art and supercar collector.
Specialists from both companies’ ‘bespoke’ divisions worked together at Rolls-Royce’s West Sussex headquarters and Hermès’ Paris HQ to bring the owner’s vision of a ‘land jet’ to life.
Maezawa wanted his car to bring the serenity of private air travel to the road, so the interior has been upholstered in Hermès’ Enea Green leather, extending to areas including the upper instrument panel, interior pillars and parcel shelf, as well as less visible areas like the glovebox compartment.

But out of a dream of landing a greenhouse on Mars using a converted Russian ballistic missile to kick-start human colonisation, SpaceX has risen to the top of the world’s burgeoning commercial space sector. It now challenges established aerospace legacy companies like Boeing for accolades and Nasa funding.
Nearly 50 years after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first person to journey into outer-space, a duopoly on American human spaceflight is emerging between the two rivals, with both competing for the spotlight as Nasa seeks to return to the Moon and send astronauts to Mars for the first time.
The two companies have already competed in the high-stakes field of human spaceflight.
