Lucky Mshubi, the man arrested for the murder of a missing Lenasia woman, will not apply for bail. Mshubi will remain in custody after he indicated to the court that he does not wish to apply for bail and opted to conduct his own defence, Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane said in a statement on Friday. This comes after Mshubi, 36, appeared in the Lenasia Magistrate s Court on charges of murder, housebreaking with intent to rob, robbery with aggravating circumstances, kidnapping, and defeating the ends of justice.

The suspects are alleged to have then driven off in the victim s vehicle that was later found abandoned in Ennerdale, spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said in a statement on Wednesday.
