The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday (23 February) questioned Rujira Banerjee Naroola, wife of Mamata Banerjeeâs nephew Abhishek, in connection with an illegal coal mining scam that it has been formally investigating since November last year.
CBI team arrived at TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee s home to question his wife Rujira in an alleged coal mining scam. A day before Rujira had told CBI to visit her on Tuesday between 11 am to 3 pm.
NEW DELHI: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Tuesday questioned Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee s wife Rujira Banerjee for an hour at their home in Kolkata in the alleged illegal coal mining scam.
Ahead of the CBI team s arrival, West Bengal chief mister Mamata Banerjee had paid a visit to her nephew Abhishek s home at Harish Mukherjee Road in Kolkata. The TMC supremo was at Abhishek s house for around ten minutes.
