Milan avoids collapse, ends Final Four drought
AX Armani Exchange Milan narrowly avoided a massive collapse in ending a nearly three-decade wait by defeating FC Bayern Munich 92-89 at home in Game 5 to reach the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four. Shavon Shields poured in a career-high 34 points to lead the three-time European champion, which last played in the Final Four in 1992. Milan led by as many as 17 points and was still up 12 points with 78 seconds left in the game. But through a series full of amazing comebacks, Bayern did not give up and had possession of the ball down just 2 points in the final 14 seconds until Kyle Hines came up with a big defensive stop for Milan - to go along with his 12 points and 7 rebounds. Malcolm Delaney added 16 points as Milan avoided becoming the first team in EuroLeague history to lose a playoff series after winning the first two games. Zach LeDay and Vladimir Lucic have each posted great performances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs series between their respective teams, AX Armani Exchange Milan and FC Bayern Munich. Going into a winner-take-all Game 5 on Tuesday to reach the Final Four, they are poised to play key roles again, just as they have been doing for most of the season.
Lucic has led Bayern to historic heights in the competition in what is the best season of his career, while LeDay has been among Milan s most consistent performers as the team aims for its first Final Four this century.

It is do-or-die time in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague! For the first time, three playoff series have reached Game 5 and we are set for a Super Tuesday full of thrills, intensity, great plays and outstanding performances in make-or-break situations. Only one team, CSKA Moscow, has made it to the Final Four and is in for a treat, as all of its players can relax at home and watch the show to see which other teams join the Russian powerhouse in Cologne. Most of CSKA s foreign players live close to each other, so I am sure some of them will get together to see this.
