Conspiracy Report: For Third Year in a Row, Chris Ballard Leaks Colts Draft Plan To the reader: First, I’d like to start by saying this article is presented as a “conspiracy theory” because by definition that’s what it is. I’ve spent countless hours over the past week doing research, listening to old pressers and watching every relevant interview I could get my hands on, taking notes on the new information he gave us, while going back over my notes from years past. But because reading...

Apr 25, 2021 Thanks to the return of T.Y. Hilton in free agency, and the return of Zach Pascal on a second-round tender, the Indianapolis Colts remain relatively deep at receiver. Add in the fact that the Colts were able to retain Mo Alie-Cox on a late-round tender and it appears that the Colts are seemingly set with starters at receiver and tight end with new QB Carson Wentz in the fold. However, in a deep draft class of weapons at tight end and receiver, the Colts would be wise to grab one ...

Colts’ Zach Pascal, George Odum Sign Restricted Free Agent Tenders Zach Pascal and safety/special teams standout George Odum have signed their restricted free agent tenders respectively. Pascal Pascal recorded 44 receptions for 629 receiving yards (14.3 ypr. avg.) and 5 touchdown receptions (tied for the team-high) during 16 games (14 starts) in 2020. He comes up with big plays for the Colts offense and is an incredibly physical blocker along the outside. Meanwhile, Odum was named to his ...

The New York Giants announced it signed the running back on Monday. Platzgummer spent 2020 with the Giants as part of the NFLs International Player Pathway Program. At 6-foot and 198 pounds, Platzgummer joined the New York practice squad after playing five seasons for the Swarco Raiders Tirol, an American football club based in Austria. Last year when joining the Giants, Platzgummer compared his size to that of Christian McCaffrey. "I admit I am really excited and I know its a huge challenge...

Odum, Pascal sign tenders to stay with Indianapolis Colts - 4 hrs ago INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Restricted free agents George Odum and Zach Pascal have signed their one-year tenders to play with the Indianapolis Colts next season, the team announced Monday. Both were restricted free agents. Odum led the NFL with 20 special teams tackles last season and was rewarded with an All-Pro selection. He received a one-year, right-of-first refusal offer for $2.133 million — an offer Odum initia...

Film Room: Zach Pascal will be back with the Colts after receiving 2nd-round tender The Colts opted to bring back Pascal in free agency Photo by Michael Hickey/Getty Images The Indianapolis Colts are off to a predictably slow start to free agency. It has never been Chris Ballard’s style to spend big in free agency and he seems to be continuing that in 2021. The Colts have made a move though prior to the official start of free agency, as they placed a second round tender on wide receiver Zach ...

Colts Mock Free Agency For the Indianapolis Colts, it has already been an exciting offseason. Chris Ballard made a splash by trading for Carson Wentz. He can still do a lot with a lot of cap space. While Ballard has not spent a lot of money outside of Deforest Buckner, we could see that change in a year where a lot of teams do not have cap space and a lot of players have gotten cut as cap casualties. In order to win a super bowl in the next few years, the Colts likely need to make a few moves t...

Build-A-Ballard: Who the Colts may target at wide receiver in the 2021 NFL Draft Which wide receivers in the 2021 draft fit Ballard’s preferred mold? Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty Images One of my favorite and most successful series with Stampede Blue is back for another run in 2021. Yes, it’s the return of the Build-A-Ballard series where we look at common themes and traits in past Chris Ballard draft picks and see which players for the upcoming NFL Draft fit the mold for the Colts. The goal...

Mar 11, 2021 Silly season has commenced for some veterans who find themselves on the open market as cap casualties. One such veteran is wide receiver John Brown, who was cut Wednesday by the Buffalo Bills, allowing Buffalo to save $8 million. Brown, who turns 31 in early April, has a few destinations in mind now that hes a free agent. " It depends who needs receivers. You know, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Big Ben [Roethlisberger] is definitely good with the deep ball, and the Indianapolis Colts...

2021 Colts Free Agency Primer Colts Salary Cap Situation As of right now, the Colts enter free agency with 46.1M in cap space if the salary cap is set at 182.5M. They had around 70-72M, but the Wentz trade decreased that amount by 25.4M. The Colts should look to leave around 8M in cap space for draft class signings and in-season transactions. The Colts should also look to leave around 20M for the contract extensions (and in the case of Nelson, the 5th year option cap hit) of Darius Leonard, Br...
