An 11-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after he fell off his mountain bike and landed right on top of a rattlesnake, which then dug its fangs into his chest.
Ethan Vogel fell onto a rattlesnake just off the trail on North Table Mountain in Golden, Colorado. He has been discharged from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Ethan Vogel was bit by a rattlesnake Tuesday on North Table Mountain and felt the effects of the venom almost immediately: "I was scared, really. I didn't wanna go."
Golden resident Ethan Vogel, 11, is still alive today likely because of quick actions by his father, Zach Vogel, and a team of rescue workers from Fairmount Fire Protection District.
