EU May Hinder ZeniMax Merger With Microsoft
While Microsoft recently acquired ZeniMax Media Inc. the deal may be problematic according to EU regulations. According to the regulations in Europe, the Commission finds that the merger falls within the scope of the Merger Regulations and they reserve the final decision with the merge. While Bethesda’s upcoming Starfield may be exclusive to Xbox, the EU could prevent the acquisition entirely. (Bloomberg) Robert A. Altman, the entrepreneur who recovered from a banking scandal to lead a popular video-game maker and sell it to Microsoft Corp., has died. He was 73.
Altman was co-founder and chief executive officer of ZeniMax Media Inc., whose Bethesda studio publishes celebrated game series like the Elder Scrolls, Doom and Fallout. Bethesda didnât state the cause of death in a tweet.
