In response to the recent security breach at the Parliament complex, the government has decided to entrust the "comprehensive" security of the complex to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The CISF, a central armed police force, currently guards various central government ministry buildings in Delhi, airports, and other critical installations.

The Winter Session of the Lok Sabha adjourned ahead of schedule with 74% productivity, according to Speaker Om Birla. The session featured 14 sittings, with the passage of 18 bills, including those to replace the IPC, CrPC, and the Indian Evidence Act.
