Russia launched drone attacks against parts of northern, central and western Ukraine early on Saturday, damaging civilian infrastructure in at least two regions, Ukrainian authorities said. Kyivs air force said the military shot down 15 of the 17 Iranian-made Shahed drones that had been launched, part of Moscows campaign of regular air strikes against Ukraine.

Air-raid warnings were issued in a number of Ukrainian oblasts because of the threat of the Russians using Iranian-made Shahed attack drones and ballistic weapons. It was also reported that the Russians had a vessel loaded with eight Kalibr cruise missiles in the Black Sea.
