Two killed in Madaripur road accident

MADARIPUR, Dec 15, 2020 (BSS) – Two people were killed and five others injured as a bus hit a van in Sadar upazila here today.
The deceased were identified as Rasheda Begum, 58, hailed from Choturpara village and Ohidul Karigor, 28, an inhabitant of Baromeher village under the Upazila.
Madaripur Fire Service sources said the accident occurred at Mostafapur on Dhaka-Barishal Highway at around 3 pm as the bus driver lost his control over the steering, leaving the van driver and a passenger dead on the spot.
The injured were admitted to Zila Sadar Hospital.

Tangail to get Liberation War Memorial Centre in Mujib Year

People in Tangail are going to get Bangabandhu and Liberation War Memorial Centre near the Badhyabhumi (mass killing ground) in the town on the occasion of Mujib Year.
Walton Group of Industries is set to build the war memorial centre. Earlier, the district administration proposed vice chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvy of the group to construct the centre. Rezvy hails from Tangail.
With the construction of the war memorial centre, the long-cherished demand of Tangail people is going to be fulfilled.
