TAMPA, Fla. â The boil water notice for customers in northwest Hillsborough County has been rescinded.
The notice was lifted Thursday morning after bacteriological sampling showed the water meets quality standards.

TAMPA, Fla. - Hillsborough County officials have issued a boil-water notice after a water main burst in the area of Westchase and Citrus Park.
The view from SkyFOX showed a work crew at a construction site with water bubbling up from the broken pipe near the intersection of Citrus Park Drive and Sheldon Road.
Some residents and businesses were temporarily without water service starting just after 4 p.m. County officials said a contractor performing modifications to the existing distribution system damaged a 24-inch water main line just north of the Fawn Ridge Water Treatment Plant, 9564 Exposition Drive, Tampa, near Sheldon Road and Fawn Ridge Boulevard.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) A water main line was hit during a construction project in the Citrus Park area Tuesday afternoon, impacting water services for many residents and businesses in the area.
The county said a contractor was working on the Citrus Park Roadway Project when they “impacted” a water main line around 4:05 p.m. after a contractor damaged a 24-inch water main line while performing modifications to the existing distribution system.
The incident occurred just north of the Fawn Ridge Water Treatment Plant, 9564 Exposition Drive, Tampa, near Sheldon Road and Fawn Ridge Boulevard.
The boundary of the impacted area is west of Veterans Expressway to Ehrlich Road and west of Gunn Highway to Racetrack Road all the way to the Pinellas County line.

UPDATE: The boil-water notice was rescinded on Thursday
Residents in northwest Hillsborough County remain under a boil water notice following a water main break Tuesday afternoon.
According to Hillsborough County officials, the break occurred just after 4 p.m. after a contractor damaged a 24-inch water main line while performing modifications near the Fawn Ridge Water Treatment Plant in the Citrus Park area.
Water service was shut down for about three hours, officials say.
The boil water notice remains in effect primarily for the Westchase area. It includes areas west of the Veterans Expressway to Ehrlich Road and west of Gunn Highway to Racetrack Road, and to the Pinellas County line.
