Just two days after the state hit the pause button on Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine, health leaders are now concerned that it could lead to potentially more vaccine hesitancy. Forsyth County Public Health Director Joshua Swift said the department started to see a slow down in vaccine appointments starting the week of Easter as numbers of COVID-19 cases are now starting to slowly tick up in the state. “So we are concerned that people that were already hesitant that have heard this news may become more hesitant,” Swift said.
