Although an official UK release date has not yet been announced by the vendor, with the handset available in select markets from February 25. It is expected that the model will support Huawei’s own Harmony OS, as Huawei continues life after Google. Huawei’s latest foldable features a ‘Falcon Wing Design’ and measures eight-inches when unfolded, alongside a 6.45-inch screen on the front. The outer display comes with a 21:9 aspect ratio, while unfolded it has a ratio of 8:7.1, and screen resolution of 2,200 by 2,480 pixels.

Gone is the old Mate X’s outer display design, which wrapped around the exterior of the handset. In its place is an internally-folding 8-inch panel. The change brings the Mate X2 more in line with foldable designs from Samsung, like the Galaxy Z Fold 2. However Huawei manages to make its phone sleeker and pack a larger internal panel than the 7.6-inch flexible AMOLED in Samsung’s handset. The company is calling it Falcon Wing Design, with a steel and carbon fiber composite chassis used .
