In the finale of
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Karli Morgenthau, the leader of the Flag-Smashers played by Erin Kellyman, joins an ever-growing list: antagonists killed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whatâs definitely special about her case, however, is that Karli isnât exactly someone the audience wants to see die, and the hero present when it happens actually tries to prevent her death. It makes for a complicated ending to the series-long arc, and while head writer Malcolm Spellman says that the circumstances werenât always the same, the end goal was always to have Karliâs exit be âheartbreaking.â

The official social media accounts of Captain America have replaced Steve Rogers with Sam Wilson as their Captain America.
The ending of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier series on Disney Plus makes it official: Sam Wilson is the new Captain America. It’s a fitting end to the series that focused on that journey for the character.
From the onset of the Disney Plus series, fans expected less than the movies. The shows, such as WandaVision, Falcon And The Winter Soldier, and the upcoming Loki, all featured supporting characters from the larger MCU.
As
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier drew to a close, more and more viewers bought into a peculiar fan theory: that the show initially included a pandemic-related subplot, but that storyline was removed in post-production. This provided a neat explanation for some of the frustrating plot holes in the final product. Now, the show’s head writer has confirmed there
was a “lost” storyline but it didn’t include a pandemic. Featured Video Hide
In an interview with the
Fade to Black podcast, head writer Malcolm Spellman was asked about this fan theory. “I’ve been told to stop saying that,” Spellman joked, referring to conversations about a deleted storyline. “But I loved it… It had nothing to do with the pandemic… I want to see if we can get some writers in and do a book run on it.”
