Usage of social media during school hours is prohibited, teachers have been told. Fiji Teachers Union general secretary Agni Deo Singh said the union continued to remind members to refrain from using Facebook during official hours.
“Avoid posting comments on issues related to the (Education) ministry or the Government as you could face disciplinary consequences,” he said.
“While we are concerned that this limits an individual’s freedom of expression, the rule in place has to be abided by.”
