In Amsterdam, Fulton County Health Department is alerting residents of a potential COVID-19 exposure at Raindancer Restaurant, 4582 Route 30, Amsterdam on Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9:10 p.m.

While Fulton County Public Health staff are trying diligently to make contact with positive cases and the virtual contact tracers with the contacts of positives, it is highly possible the outreach may not happen, according to a news release. Anyone who has not been contacted is to follow the following guidelines. Those who have learned they are positive: ¯ Isolate yourselves from everyone for 10 days from the start of symptoms or if they do not have symptoms from their test date. ¯ Develop a list of their contacts starting with the two days prior to the day their symptoms started or if they never had symptoms starting with the two days prior to their test date.

Remote learning planned for Wauseon Schools after break By Drew Stambaugh Wauseon Exempted Village Schools students will be staying home a bit longer than anticipated following Christmas break. Superintendent Troy Armstrong announced Wednesday that the district will go to remote education for two weeks to start January. This two-week remote learning plan will be from Jan. 4 through Jan. 18. January 4 is a teacher preparation day, Jan. 15 is an all staff in-service day, and Jan. 18 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Those three days will be non-instructional days. The high school went to remote learning prior to the break. All K-5 students will bring home a Chromebook this Friday. Students in grades 6-12 will continue to use the device assigned to them.

Pettisville board hears updates from interim superintendent

PETTISVILLE — Pettisville Local Board of Education on Monday, hearing updates from the interim superintendent. Ken Boyer, interim superintendent, presented a summary of the study by Garmann-Miller Architects on upgrading the classroom technology. The district now has a basis to make some plans on upgrading classrooms on outdated and technology that cannot be repaired. Concerning the superintendent search, there have been more 90 responses to the community survey and there have been a number of applicants for the superintendent position. Boyer noted the district has had nine positive cases of COVID-19 in students and five cases in staff members since the beginning of the school year. The virus crisis has been managed very efficiently by the district due to the cooperation and hard work by all staff. The intent is to continue with face-to-face education of students. He also stressed that there is good cooperation between the other Fulton County School districts and the Fulton C
