According to published reports, two Siberian huskies left their owner’s home in Wauseon on Nov. 24. The dogs’ owner told media outlets she searched for the dogs for three weeks after they went missing, until an anonymous caller told her they had been killed by a local farmer. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and conducted an investigation, in which two individuals said they saw the dogs attacking a calf. “One husky was biting the calf’s neck, while the other was attempting to grab the calf’s back legs,” the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. The farmer shot and killed the dogs and “then buried the huskies but did not undertake any efforts to notify their owners.”
