PHUKET: Rapid antigen tests will no longer be used to determine whether or not people will be allowed to enter Phuket from Sunday (May 16), Phuket Vice Governor Piyawong Choowong has confirmed.

Instead, only people who are fully vaccinated or can prove they tested negative for the virus within 72 hours of arriving will be allowed to enter, he said today after the meeting of the Phuket Communicable Disease Committee at Phuket Provincial Hall (May 14).

PHUKET: Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew has issued a formal request for people staying in Phuket to stay at home or their place of accommodation from 10pm at night through to 4am in the morning in a bid to prevent COVID-19 from spreading across the island.

The notice was issued last night, following the meeting of the Phuket Communicable Disease Committee yesterday (May 2).
People are asked to stay indoors during the specified hours unless they have “necessary reason”.

BANGKOK, May 4 (The Nation Thailand/ANN): Phuket province has requested cooperation from residents to refrain from leaving their homes or their residential areas from 10pm to 4am from May 4.
The order, approved by yhe Phuket Communicable Disease Committee, comes into effect from Tuesday until further changes.
There will be checkpoints to advise and warn those who violate and do not cooperate in helping prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
