Major Jeffrey Paul Sutton (retired, USAF), 63 years old, was born in the summer of 1957 to Eugene and Marjorie Sutton, the fifth of six children in Lewistown, Montana, and died April 1, 2021 at his home in Glendive, Montana.
There are so many stories that could be told about dad. He was well-loved by all for his adventurous, fun-loving spirit as well as his dependability. “That’s just what you do.” He graduated Fergus County High School in 1975. He went on to study at Montana State-Bozeman, graduating in 1980 and receiving a commission as Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Our beloved Mother and best friend, Theresa M. Kuhne Robinson, died on March 1, 2021 and is now with her heavenly father. She was a loved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born Aug. 25, 1927, daughter of Beat and Josephine Kuhne. She attended St. Leo’s grade school and graduated from Fergus County High School in 1945.
She was a bookkeeper for Eddy’s Bakery, and later at Montana Lumber, until her marriage to John E. Robinson on April 15, 1948. They resided in Lewistown. She was a member of St. Leo’s Church. They had three children: son Michael John, daughter Wanda Theresa Ann and son Mark Thomas. They went on many picnics and enjoyed the outdoors. She was a Pink Lady at St. Joseph’s Hospital and a Boy Scout and Brownie leader.

Mary Kay Haugen, 67, of Lewistown, Montana passed away Feb. 8 in Surprise, Arizona following a two-year battle with a rare form of cancer, cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Mary Kay was born July 25, 1953 to Trygve and Mary Fran Haugen, the middle child of five.
The early years of Mary Kay’s life were spent on Upper Spring Creek at the family home. “MK” absolutely loved floating the creek on an inner tube, and over the years would organize and lead many float trips during summer family gatherings.
Following graduation from Fergus County High School in 1972, she attended college in Spokane, Washington, but soon returned to Lewistown to be closer to family. In 1976 she gave birth to her beloved son Brian, who was her greatest joy. In 1986 Mary Kay began sharing life with her partner, Dana Eastman, and sometime along the way they became diehard University of Montana football fans, frequently traveling to Missoula to watch the Griz play.
