Greg and Karen Frink with Greenfield Farms donated nearly 400 pounds of ground beef to the MO Beef MO Kids MO Fit program benefiting the Fayette School District.
According to the University of Missouri Howard County Extension Office, the school received 376 pounds of ground beef, equaling 2,632 servings.
To date, Fayette and Glasgow School Districts have received a total of 2,244 pounds, equaling 15,708 servings of locally-raised beef.
Other donors include, Steve Diehls, Ron McBee and Randy and Danny Kircher.

With some middle and high school students enrolled in full-time virtual learning and others attending school on a hybrid schedule, the new way of teaching and learning during a pandemic did not stop science enthusiasts from entering projects in the annual Fayette County Science and Engineering Fair.

School nurses have been key to keeping schools open since the fall and are on the front lines to get the Covid-19 vaccine in Phase 1a of Georgiaâs vaccine rollout plan, said a news release from the Fayette County School System.
On January 12, 24 â or 80 percent â of Fayette County Public Schoolsâ 30 nurses rolled up their sleeves at the Fayette County Health Department to take their first dose of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine. School Health Services Coordinator Debbie King was the first nurse to receive the vaccine. As the school nurse coordinator, she said it was her responsibility to set the example for others.
