Date Time Fatal housefire – Carramar One person has died and one person have been injured in a housefire in Sydney’s south-west this morning. Emergency services were called to River Avenue at Carramar about 7.15am (Tuesday 13 April 2021), and found a person outside a single-level villa suffering the effects of smoke inhalation. A man was removed from inside the building by a staff member and another resident. Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR; however, the man could not be revived. Parts of River Avenue remain closed to traffic and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
