They believe at least two-thirds of all commercial vehicles will be for electric models by 2030.
The brand is set to launch their first fully-electric van, the Ford E-Transit in Spring next year.
The vehicle will be capable of up to 217 miles between charges but is set for a price tag of up to £36,000.
Mr Rowley said the changes have been made as the industry is “changing profoundly”.

He warned the changes will represent a seismic challenge” but warned this was one the company could meet.
