‘Don’t repeat mistakes’: Daughter of Holocaust survivor calls out hard truths on Remembrance Day

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Wednesday, January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day – a time to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of survivors who lived through the Nazi regime.
“My parents were both survivors. My father was a survivor of a labor brigade, so he was actually enslaved for 4 years. From when he was not even 21 to almost 25,” said Gloria Einstein.

Learn of Gloria Einstein’s father, Frank Colb, who in his early days at a Nazi labor camp was given a rare afternoon off. He was hosted by a Jewish family where he was enchanted by a young woman in a red dress though the homeowner’s daughter kept chatting with him, preventing him from getting near her.
