The Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District is putting a bond election before voters in the upcoming election to build three new campuses, including a second high school.
The $420 million total bond proposal seeks to build new middle and elementary school campuses as well. If built, these would be the second high school, the third middle school and a sixth elementary school in the Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District. Our growth shows no signs of slowing, Paul Ehlers, president of the board, said. It is the responsibility of the LCISD Board of Trustees to thoroughly assess the needs of the district and remain proactive. The projects included in this bond package will provide for our children for many years to come.
