On Friday, April 2nd, around 3pm the Martin City Police Department responded to the Kinzers Drilling Company after receiving s complaint of an individual making strange calls to the employees of the Kinzer’s Drilling Company.
The Martin City Police Department arrested George Maynard at the entrance of the Kinzers Drilling Company parking lot on an outstanding warrant.
Maynard is changed with operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and possession of a controlled substance.
Maynard was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.

Martin City Police Department is reporting that:
Martin City Police Officer Brad Stidham, along with Floyd County Constable District#2 Gary Nelson & Floyd County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jeremy I. Bentley age 38 of Red Creek Road, Pikeville, KY on Tuesday night February 9, 2021 at approximately 9:30PM.
The arrest occurred on KY-1428 Mainstreet in City of Martin. Officer Brad Stidham, conducted a traffic stop on a gray Nissan 4DR after he observed the vehicle traveling 25 miles over the speed limit.
During the stop, Officer Brad Stidham, learned that this subject had suspended license due to a previous dui, and the passenger had an active warrant for his arrest thru NCIC Database.
It happened Thursday morning in the area of Kentucky 321 between Highlands ARH and Auxier.
Prestonsburg Fire Department also responded to the crash
Police say Kyle Waddle was driving southbound and crossed the center line, hitting a commercial septic tank vehicle. They say he was found to be driving under the influence and on a suspended license.
Waddle was arrested and is being held in the Floyd County Detention Center.
No other vehicles were involved.
The roadway was closed for a time as the crash caused the road to become hazardous because of a spill. While the road is open now it is being advised to drive the area with caution as the state is helping with the cleanup.
