India successfully tests new missile systems
AKIPRESS.COM - In a major boost towards Aatmamirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) and strengthening of Indian Army, India’s DRDO successfully flight-tested indigenously developed low weight, fire and forget Man-Portable Antitank Guided Missile (MPATGM), the Indian defense ministry said, ANI reported.
The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) tested two missile systems on July 21, which included a Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) for the Indian Army and a new variant of the Surface-to-Air Missile Akash-NG for the Indian Air Force, the Ministry of Defense said. In both tests, the mission objectives were successfully met by the missile systems.

Designed to take down targets at a range of 7 km, the HELINA will soon be ordered for the weaponised Advanced Light Helicopter `Rudra’ as well as the Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) that are set to join service next month.

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], February 19 (ANI): Four HELINA anti-tank missiles were launched from Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv helicopter in the Rajasthan sector on Friday said Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) officials.
The HELINA anti-tank missiles were test-fired during the joint user trials by the Indian Army and Indian Air Force (IAF).
According to DRDO, the four missions were carried out for evaluating the missile capabilities in a minimum and maximum range of 7 kilometers.
The final mission was carried out with a warhead missile against a derelict tank. All the mission objectives were met.
