CHARLOTTSVILLE (WINA) – Charlottesville Police say Tea and Gia Carter and mom, Josette Carter, have been safely found. They’re not releasing a lot of information, but thank State Police, the FBI Richmond, and the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office for help in the search. CPD says they’re also grateful for thousands who called in tips and shared the department’s social media posts.
The three were reported missing Wednesday, last seen Tuesday morning in the 1600 block of Greenleaf Lane. CPD said at the time the situation did not meet the criteria for a state-issued Amber Alert, but that they were concerned for their safety.
